Agape Water Solutions designed and built the first EDR pilot system for Ionpure’s new Electrodialysis Reversal product line.
The product will be called NexED. NexED is an electrochemical device which uses electricity to desalt water. The electrical current is reversed periodically to prevent scaling. EDR operates with as high as 90% recovery in some applications and can treat reverse osmosis concentrate water and other brackish waters.
The system includes Allen Bradley PLC controls with remote monitoring of performance, flow rates and pressures. The EDR pilot system is 50 and 60 hz, designed to be compact and shipped in a reusable crate for field testing at various locations around the world.
